Too many questions. Not enough answers. Three years ago when I was thinking about taking a career break, I was in the same place. Since then I’ve traveled for over a year straight and I’ve learned a lot. Some through research, and some through hard-earned experience.
Do you want to plan a career break, but you don’t know where to start? Have more questions than answers? Schedule a Career Break Planning Consultation with me, and I'll help guide you through the planning process in a one-hour coaching session or a three-hour planning intensive.
During these sessions we can:
- Select flights and other transportation
- Price out of travel, and activities
- Book accommodations
- Research the best cities
- Determine the cost of living of different locations
- Make a budget
- Create a savings plan
- Create a list of what to plan now and what to plan later on
What Clients Say:
"I didn't know I had the option to consider a career break when I scheduled a call with Roshida. However, in that one coaching call, she was able to take my verbal ramblings and jumbled thoughts and help me get some structure to plan out the steps I would need to plan my career break. Even though our call was only an hour, I had gotten so much clarity on where I could go and a much needed boost in confidence in what I was capable of doing, even before I got off the phone. One of the best coaching experiences I have ever had. :)"

I’m Shida D, a passionate proponent of career breaks, sabbaticals, and grown-up gap years. Back in the day, I used to be a lawyer. I practiced for about a decade before I realized that I wasn’t in love with the life I built. I was stressed, tired, and burned out. I know I need to make a change and I took the leap and decided to travel the world for a year. I quickly realized I wanted other women to experience the freedom I found on my career break, so I started coaching women looking to leave burnout behind on how to plan satisfying and sustainable breaks from their careers.
